Whitstable YBC has been awarded Sport England’s

Clubmark Accreditation. The Clubmark is a recognised

quality standard held by more than 10,000 organisations

across the country although Whitstable YBC are only the

second Tenpin Bowling Club nationally to have received

this prestigious status to date, the first being Strikers YBC

in North Waltham. We were presented with the award by

Guthrie Miller, the Kent Club and volunteer Development Officer.

I strongly believe in the ClubMark scheme (the Sport

England mark of high quality for junior clubs) and I would

recommend all YBCs get in touch with their local county

sports partnerships and apply for accreditation. The

scheme has huge benefits to clubs as we were all told at

the recent NAYBC seminar by Suzanne Benton of Strikers YBC

.

I am very proud of our success in achieving Clubmark as I

believe it will help to raise the profile of our Sport and

demonstrate the level of commitment in our YBC.
