2009-2010 Under 24 results

Four Ladies and four Men travelled to Newbury on Sunday 29th November to represent their county in the Y.A.C.Southern area preliminary round. The conditions were not sympathetic to high scoring, and only the top three counties on the day would go forward to the National Championships to be held at Peterborough in February 2010.

Our Ladies team comprised of Kirsty Belchem, Georgia Cooper, Hannah Frost and Hannah Smith. They finished in fifth place out of six counties taking part,The individual scores are available to view by clicking on the link button.

Our Mens team comprised of Aaron Dyke, brothers Chris and Tim Standell and Alex Thistleton. Unfortunately, the pinfall in their first game was 611, they then went on to average 765 over the next five games,but it was not enough and they finished fifth out of ten counties.

Five of the eight bowlers were making their debut for the Y.A.C's. They all were a credit to their County. In particular I would like to commend Georgia Cooper who achieved an average of 161.67 and Alex Thistleton who averaged 209 over the six games.
