BASILDON 1ST AND 2ND DECEMBER 2007
The first round of the event consisted of 6 games and after age bonus was added to the
pinfall the top 22 players went through to compete in the second round.
Chris Skudder was the only Kent player through to the second round. He finished round 1
in 12th place, having averaged 197.33 over the six games. David Ross just missed
the cut finishing the round in 24th place and averaging 185.50.
At the end of round 2, consisting of four games, Chris had moved up to 6th and won a place in the Round Robin final. Chris finished the tournament in 3rd place with an average of 198.20.
In the ladies section Jan Hodge was one of 10 players to go through to the second round, having averaged 187.17 over the first 6 games. After the second round Jan was in 8th place, two positions short of a place in the Round Robin final.
GT. YARMOUTH 20TH & 21ST OCTOBER 2007
MEN
The first round of the event consisted of 6 games and after age bonus was added to the pinfall the top 22 players went through to compete in the second round.
Two Kent players made it through to the second round. Steve Carnall finished the 1st round in 18th place, having averaged 187.5 over the first 6 games. Chris Skudder was also through, having finished 21st with 178.5 average.
The top six players at the end of the second round would progress through to the Round Robin. Both players improved their positions after the 2nd round. Chris finished in 15th place with a 181.9 average over the 10 games. Steve Carnall moved right up to 5th place averaging 197.8 over 10 games and won a slot in the Round Robin final.
Steve Carnall finished in 3rd place after the Round Robin.
His average over the 15 games was 202.7. Congratulations Steve!
In the unofficial rankings (to be confirmed by the BTBA) after this event our top placed bowler is Chris Skudder in 12th place with Steve Carnall in 16th place.
LADIES
The first round of the event consisted of 6 games and after age bonus was added to the pinfall the top 10 players went through to compete in the second round.
Jan Hodge finished third in the first round, having averaged 188.17 over the first 6 games.
A further four games in the second round saw Jan move into first place with a 190.9 ave.
Jan continued her good form throughout the Round Robin final, winning the event.
Her average was the highest of the ladies event with 189.53 after 15 games.

AMF AYLESBURY 15TH & 16TH SEPTEMBER 2007
The first round of the event consisted of 6 games and after age bonus was added to the
pinfall the top 23 players went through to compete in the second round.
David Ross finished the first round in 4th place with an excellent 222.33 average. Chris Skudder also went through to the second round having finished round 1 in 17th place averaging 198.17
The top six players at the end of the second round would progress through to the Round Robin. After the second round Chris moved up to 9th having averaged 215.25 over the four games. David just missed the Round Robin, finishing in 7th place averaging 190.5 in the second round.
