K.t.b.a. Website guide

The KTBA website is now well established and I hope that you are finding it a useful source of news and information. We are endeavouring to keep it as up to date as possible, putting on news as it is sent to us and trying to keep you informed about forthcoming events.

Hopefully you are managing to find your way around the website easily but this guide may be useful to give you some guidance to help you to find what you are looking for.

This is the area of the website where you can find out about Tenpin Bowling in Kent. Click on the "about us" link and you will be taken to a page that gives you the names and contact details of your KTBA Councillors and identifies what position, if any, they hold within Council. Also on this page are links to web pages showing KTBA history, KTBA Hall of Fame, benefits of BTBA membership and information about bowling centres and sanctioned leagues in Kent.

This is where you will find news items and information that does not easily slot in anywhere else. We will also show headline news and links to those items.

As they come in, news reports get slotted into various different categories which are as follows:

In this section there is a tournament calendar (mainly for local tournaments but hopefully to be expanded soon) and there are reports about regular tournaments that have taken place. This is also where you can find information about forthcoming events and downloadable entry forms will be available wherever possible.

These three areas are dedicated to matters pertaining to particular age groups. Eventually each section will have its own Tournament Calendar, there is already one in the Seniors News section.

League news and information can be accessed here. We show offers that are available for league players/BTBA members.

There is an area where you can advertise for new league members.

The KTBA is constantly trying to find ways of raising funds. Ideally we would like to be in a position to fund all the costs for bowlers who have been selected to bowl for the County.

SPONSOR ONE OF OUR KENT TEAMS - we can display your logo on our shirts and would provide a free link at the top of one of our web pages (click on the "here" link above to see an example).

SPONSOR AN EVENT -there are various opportunities e.g. the Masters event or the Inter-Centre Championship. We can advertise your company on all entry forms/posters etc. and will incude a link at the top of one of our web pages.

The KTBA always sends tournament entry forms to the bowling centres but we are often told that they cannot be found there. In order to improve this situation, we want to send emails to a contact from every league in Kent informing them that entry forms have been sent to their local bowl. We will also communicate other important news in this manner.

In order to get this project fully up and running, we now need all leagues (BTBA sanctioned or not) to provide email addresses for one or two of their bowlers. The idea being that the recipients will pass on the information to other members of their league. We have already received a few email addresses but we need more leagues involved if this is to work effectively. So, please do make sure your league is included by sending a contact email address (or two) to mikektba@hotmail.com
