CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Club Tournament is open to entries by bowlers who have qualified during the previous bowling year which is from 01 September to 31 August.

There are five "Clubs" - the 200 Club, 500 Club, 550 Club, 600 Club and 650 Club

The first Club Tournament to be held was the 600 Club back in 1967.

74 bowlers qualified for the first 600 Club Tournament.

The 600 club format changed to 6 games from 1997 to 2003.

It changed back to 3 games in 2004 when the 650 Club was formed.

The 200 Club was first contested in1968.

The 550 Club was formed in 1977.

The 500 Club started in 1979.

There are various restrictions for qualification into three of the Clubs as follows:

The 200 club is for bowlers with an average of 159 or below who achieve a 200 game.

The 500 Club is only for the ladies.

The 550 Club is for bowlers with an average of 169 or below who achieve a 550 series.

The 200 and 500 Clubs are both handicapped tournaments.

The 550, 600 and 650 Clubs are scratch tournaments.
