KENT BOWLING NEWS
EDITORIAL
Well, sadly it isn't getting any easier getting the bowlers of Kent to submit information, high scores, stories or letters. I try my best but without great success. As this website has had nearly 50,000 hits a lot of bowlers do look, but few bother to supply anything. With the new season fast approaching, please keep me informed!
A Forum facility has been available on this website for the past few months. Unfortunately, it has only been used three or four times so, unless useage increases, it will be removed at the end of August. To access it, click Forum.
The excellent Talk Tenpin website is being given a new look and it's now easier to find your way aroung all the news and reports.
Go to www.talktenpin.net
On the subject of websites, do have a look at Dr K's very interesting one concerning the mental aspects of bowling. Do, particulary, go to the "mental game " section and read "5 pillars of a mental game" and "Norm Duke on the mental game."
Go to Dr. K's website at www.psychologyforeliteperformance.com. Fascinating stuff!

BTBA news
There has been a change to Rule 37 (see Addendum below)
Rule 37. The use of abrasives such as, but not limited to sandpaper, steel wool and the so-called Scotchbrite pads is prohibited during competition. It is permissible for bowlers to use abrasives both prior to and following competition. However, once a league, competition or a tournament block has begun, the provisions of the rule would apply throughout that entire session. As a result, it is not permissible to use the abrasives between each game of a particular league session or tournament block, during which only a dry towel may be used to clean the surface of the ball.
Addendum
The use of any substance which emits dust, such as Easy slide and/or had conditioners is prohibited in the players/seating area.
