KENT BOWLING NEWS

Editorial - August

The last few weeks have been very busy for us as we have been getting the website up and running and loading useful and historical information. This is still an ongoing task! At the moment we are preparing "Rolls of Honour" for the K.T.B.A. Tournaments ready to go on the site. The history of our InterCentre Championship and the Area Championships are already on the site and more will be following soon.

STOP PRESS

Kent Men win

 a place at the Inter-County

Finals.

I am going to give a brief summary of events with links to the various articles. Wherever you see underlined text there is a link to the relevant webpage - you can use your back arrow to bring you back to this page.

Lists of Qualifiers for the forthcoming Club Tournament have been loaded. The Club Tournament for qualifiers from the 2005-6 season takes place on 23rd September 2007 at Bugsy's Cliftonville. Check to see if you have qualified! We are also listing qualifiers for the 2006-7 season as they are submitted. This tournament will be held early in 2008.

In the meantime things have been happening that we are delighted to report. Steve Carnall achieved a 300 game in June, closely followed by Steve McElwaine's 300 game in July. You can read all about these perfectos by clicking on "Latest News" and following the links.

Our Junior bowlers recorded some good results at the Junior Nationals and we received reports from Cliftonville and Whitstable YBC's. A new Junior "Peewee" event was held at Bugsy's which was very successful and may well become an annual event. Reports on all these Junior events can be found by going to "YBC News" and following the links.

Watch out for an excellent report about Hannah Frost's experiences at the World Junior Games in Vienna which has just been displayed on the website. We should have photographs to accompany the story soon.

Not to be outdone by the Juniors, our Senior Bowlers have been doing well in the AMF Senior Tour. We have reported on the last three events and will bring news of the final event at AMF Bushbury on 27th & 28th October.  Sadly the Seniors did not qualify for the Inter-County final this year.

We have had end of season reports from Bexleyheath Broads and Superbirds & Bees Leagues from Bexleyheath, the Early Birds League at Chatham and the Harbour League at Whitstable. All of these items can be found on the League pages.

Finally, do keep an eye on the Notice Board!

We are trying to provide you with a website where you can find everything you need! For example, we are listing the names and contact details of your representatives on KTBA Council. We are providing tournament results, forthcoming events and, of course, the latest news.

WE NEED YOU TO TELL US WHAT YOU WANT!

Are we getting it right?

What else would you like to see included on the website?

What did you think about the Area Championships team event being four person not five?

We want your views, not just regarding the website but on other matters that you feel strongly about.

We would like to start a letters page so email me or even send us a letter!.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU!
