KENT AREA CHAMPIONSHIPS

HISTORY

The Kent Area Championships were first held at the Top Rank Bowling Centre, Chatham in 1963.

For the first three years the tournament was handicap only.

The scratch events and All Events sections were first contested in 1966

when the venue was Cliftonville Bowling Centre.

In 1966 K.T.B.A. became South Eastern Bowling Association (S.E.B.A).

In 1968 the B.T.B.A. County Associations were formed on County boundaries

S.E.B.A being Essex and Kent.

In 1990 S.E.B.A. was disbanded and K.T.B.A. re-established.

The Area Championships consists of 16 Categories as follows:
