Hannah Smith and Chris Standell win the 2010 Masters
The 2010 KTBA Masters were held at AMF Gravesend during the first day of the Areas Tournament. The Ladies taking part were defending Master Hannah Smith, Hannah Frost, Lucy Percival, Julie McPherson, Margaret Shrimpton and Sandra Smith. The format was to play four games and the two players with the least pinfall would drop out. The remaining four play a single game "sudden death" semi final, followed by a single game final.
The scores for the first round were as follows:

Margaret Shrimpton and Sandra Smith dropped out and Lucy,
who had achieved the highest score from the first round played
her sister Julie in the semi-final. This semi-final was sudden
death and Lucy's game took a dip and she allowed Julie to
go through to the final. 160/180. Meanwhile, the two Hannahs
were having a close match on the next pair of lanes. It was
thrilling to watch,and it was anybody's match with Hannah Smith
finaly pipping Hannah Frost by 1 pin 206/205.
Hannah Smith took a comfortable lead early in the final
to withhold her title 218/154.
The format for the Men was the same as for the Ladies
The men taking part were last years defending Master,
Chris Skudder, along with Rob Packman, Bill Shrimpton
Chris Standell, Tim Standell and Andrew Tapping.

Chris Skudder and Bill Shrimpton dropped out as
the two lowest scores of the first round. Rob Packman
lost to Chris Standell in their semi-final 153/233. Meanwhile
Tim Standell and Andrew Tapping were having an exiting and
high scoring match in the other semi-final, with Andrew winning
256/243.
Another close contest in the final between Chris and Andrew
saw Chris take the title for the second time 203/199
